Visby Battle Revealed by Archaeology Findings
Swedish archaeologists at Visby field outside the walls uncovered hundreds of skeletons in common graves with armor remains, showing a diverse war dead beyond fierce Danish regulars. Finds include chain mail, chest plates, and signs of brutal hand to hand combat, including women and cripples among the fallen.
