Doland Alumni Honor Class Of 1893 At Luncheon And Dance

The Doland high school alumni entertained the graduating class of 1893 with a luncheon and dance at Olson cafe after commencement. Ronald Ewing gave the welcome and Clair Lovelace gave the response. Alumni officers elected include Vesta Paul president Violet Liebig vice president Bernice Seaman secretary and John Lewson treasurer.

Fire set at Yefto home in Huron investigation resumes

Deputy state fire marshal Ray Hirsch will return to Huron Friday to continue probing the house fire at John Yefto, 45 Idaho Avenue North East. The blaze caused substantial kitchen damage and occurred while the home was vacant, with officials noting the fire was set though little further progress was reported. Max Teuber, a Huron firefighter, supplied the details. Canadian railways plan free pick up and delivery service in cooperation with trucking firms.

Graduation Day At Huron Junior High Holds 140 Plus Certificates

More than twenty pupils received graduation certificates last night before a crowded college auditorium. Blake F. Patton urged the value of education to meet changing economic conditions. Senior high diplomas went to about 204 juniors with 10 honor pupils named. Tomorrow marks the last day of school as report cards go home.
