Eckhart Dies At 82 After Prolonged Illness In Huron
Huronian HL Eckhart aged 82 died at 6 50 am at his home 754 low avenue southeast after months of illness. He born July 9 1877 in Greene Iowa moved to Dakota Territory as a child and later ran an implement business in Huron. Funeral Sunday 2 30 at Presbyterian church with Dr Ketelle. Burial Riverside cemetery beside his mother. He was fire department member since 1912 and affiliated with Odd Fellows Knights of Pythias and other groups. Surviving: widow Ella M Eckhart two sisters and a brother.

Circus Essay Contest Sparks Youth Interest in South Dakota

Hinton Bound Over To Circuit Court
Ralph Hinton was bound over to the June term of circuit court under a 71000 bond after arraignment in municipal court before Judge Dick Haney on a charge of transporting intoxicating liquor. He was not bonded. Hinton, reportedly with two women and another man, was arrested by Huron police near the railroad jungle after allegedly carrying a gallon of alcohol. T. H. Luby defended the defendant, while W. W. Howes, the state attorney, prosecuted.

Pierre Girl Is Member New Alpha Lambda Delta Fraternity
Alpha Lambda Delta freshman women’s national scholastic fraternity was installed at the University of South Dakota with 29 charter members, 16 freshmen and 13 sophomores.
