State Firemen Plan Five Day School and Tournament

The body of Fred H. Newman aged 33 who died May 25 at Panguitch Utah arrived in Huron Wednesday night. He will be buried Friday at 2:30 PM at Presbyterian church with funeral by Dr Hubert Ketelle and burial at Riverside cemetery by Veterans of Foreign Wars. Pallbearers are VFW members Ross Burton Parley Moore Floyd Alley Simon Rhoads Leon Rudy J O Hagen. Newman served in 318 Engineer Train in France 13 months from 1917 to 1919 and leaves widow May Belle Jink Newman and parents Mr and Mrs George Newman Clifton township and brothers Milton Clifton township and Harold Thermopolis Wyoming. He was a member of VFW and American Legion.

One Killed As Tornado Lifts Empire Builder Near Fargo
A tornado eight miles southeast of Fargo lifted the Great Northern Empire Builder from its tracks. One man died, Andrew Anderson of Montesano Washington, and over twenty were injured including Mrs Emily Hannan of Seattle and Mrs MN Trell of Minot. The wreck halted near Sabin Minnesota as crews and volunteers aided victims. engineer B E McKee and fireman Al Klinefn reported the train remained intact on the engine.
