It reversed the related decision against P C Lien and dismissed a suit by Beresford Independent School District against Muriel Fletcher. The court also held claims against Citizens Fund Mutual Fire Insurance and National Implement Mutual Insurance liable for a judgment against A B Ryan of Sturgis.

Pierre May 26. Orders for 108 sets of the 1939 revised code of South Dakota laws have been received. Receipts total 2720 dollars. The codes cost 25 dollars for South Dakotans if ordered before July 1, and 25 dollars afterward. A flat rate of 45 dollars will be charged for out of state orders.

Burglary Report at Rainbow Bar. Suspect in Custody
Sioux Falls police investigated a burglary at the Rainbow Bar, reported by Walter Hicks, 50, who lives above the bar. About 85 dollars in cash disappeared, two men were seen fleeing, and detective Norman Larson found a lone penny and 83.12 wrapped in a towel behind a door during the upstairs search.

Survey of Brandon Indian Village Ruins Planned
Sioux Falls May 26. Archeologists will survey a ten acre site three miles southwest of Brandon to study the village huts pottery and habits of inhabitants who lived there 200 to 400 years ago. WPA funds support the work with Smithsonian Institution experts also expected to participate in the summer project under director W H Over of the University of South Dakota.

Skeleton Found by WPA Crew at Sioux Falls Airport
A WPA grading crew uncovered a human skeleton at the Sioux Falls municipal airport last Wednesday. Foreman Jack Stone said it was the 29th skeleton unearthed near the J. H. Ruvald farm. An Indian arrow head was found buried in the skull along with cartridge shells from the 1930s and 1960s.

Water Use Reaches May Record In Sioux Falls
Sioux Falls municipal water system pumped a new May daily record of 18 million gallons on Wednesday, surpassing all prior May totals. Officials stressed ample supply for all users despite the peak, noting only one earlier 18 million gallon level during the 1936 drought.

ABERDEEN May 26 Pi J W Beckwith unemployment compensation commissioner faced ouster proceedings by S H Collins former state employment service director but was out of town and unavailable for comment. Other UCC members Frank Siewert and J W Kaye reserved comment on the action. Beckwith has served since December 29 1935 for a six year term appointed by Governor Tom Berry and was chairman until January 6.
