Vermillion May 21 An egg about 12 inches long and eight inches wide, 170 times larger than a hen’s egg, has entered the University of South Dakota museum. The preserved Aepyornis egg from Madagascar was secured during World War I by Rev P C Ison in Madagascar and later bought from natives by Rev Halverson. Halverson returned to the United States and chose to place the specimen in a South Dakota museum.
