Mrs. G E Cooper hosts a dessert luncheon with Mrs. Charles Osborn and guests. The J F Club met at Mrs. Riley's home for a two o'clock dessert, with Florence Hinam joining and a cradle gift to Mrs. Dallas Hartley. Eighteen members and six visitors attended a S and C Club meeting at Mrs S Freidtickson’s. prizes were awarded and lunch served. A breakfast shower honored Miss Imma Anderson with blue and ivory decor, a toasmaster set, and hostesses including Mrs. W F Rukstad. The Dorcas Society of the American Lutheran Church held a mother-daughter party with devotions, singing, and carnations for mothers.

H. V. Warden driving in Fort Collins May 15 felt a sudden back pain and was paralyzed after his car hit a reed-covered bump. A passerby rushed him to hospital where doctors diagnosed a spine fracture in the accident.

Hal D. Wheaton publisher of Rapid City and Hill City was acquitted of criminal libel stemming from January article in the Rapid City Advocate about a city government form change.
