Early Morning Fire Destroys Parkston Lumber Yard
A fast spreading blaze at Thompson Lumber Company yards in Parkston, origin unknown, destroyed the lumber yard and threatened Main Street. Acting Marahal John Roen found the axe. Parkston firemen with Tripp aid kept the fire from spreading, water sprayed on embers into the morning. Meischholder hardware adjoining caught fire briefly but escaped serious damage.

Third Member Of Cream Can Gang Is Caught Today
A third member of the cream can bandit gang was arrested near Pratt, Minnesota, at 1 15 p m today. He was weak from blood loss and an all night trek, captured by Sheriff Ted Helgeson. The man, named Harry Miller, carried a revolver and ammunition and about 600 dollars was found in his pocket. A farm woman reported the sighting near her Pratt-area farm. Federal charges against two other gang members were virtually assured as officers pressed the hunt for fugitives.

In eastern Montana a grasshopper invasion is being fought with poison bait, up to 20 tons daily in some counties. State entomologist Dr. Harlow B. Mills says farmers are nearly all committed to the campaign.
