Father Of Huron Man Dies In Iowa
Funeral services for A. M. Johanson father of M. G. Johnson of this city were held Thursday May 7 from his home in Norway Ta and at the church. He was buried in the Norwegian cemetery there with Rev. Mr. Carlson in charge. Mr. Johnson was a pioneer resident and building contractor for 45 years in Norway. He died May 2 after more than four years illness, a stroke hastening his death. Born in Norway Europe 73 years ago he was a carpenter for years then lumber businessman for 15 years before entering mercantile business with his son A B Johnson where he remained at his death.
