Washington reports brighter wheat price prospects after the Agriculture Department releases a late winter crop bulletin. It shows lower yields than last year, with May 1 conditions near 60 to 70 percent of normal and total 1932 spring and winter wheat crops under pressure from continued tough growing conditions across the plains.
Chicago May 11 Mayor Anton revived the Traylor boom for president at the Illinois Democratic convention with Melvin A. Traylor as possible second choice and James Nihan Lewis as a competing candidate. State Democratic Chairman Donovan predicted Roosevelt could gain most Illinois votes after a ballot or two if he shows strength. Cermak and others doubted how delegates feel about the forecasts and whether multiple ballots will occur.
The Fluron police department assigns three patrolmen to keep order among children at the Municipal band concert in Campbell Park. Chief A W Hopkins says complaints about unaccompanied children prompted the patrols and urges parents to attend with their kids to ensure orderly viewing of the park concert.
Chancellor Bruening told the Reichstag that complete cancellation of political debts is essential for global economic recovery. He argued Germany cannot meet reparations and noted growing acknowledgment by other powers of the justice of this view.
Gaston B. Means remains in custody as prosecutors request high bonds to prevent flight. Judge Procter set a new bond after an indictment related to alleged swindling of Mrs. Edward B. Reykjavik reports a parliamentary commission drafting a bill to legalize the sale of strong drinks within hours with local administrations to enforce the change. Prohibition began in 1913 under Danish rule and was confirmed by a 1915 law.

Mr and Mrs Harold Webb had their six month old son fingerprinted and foot printed by local police in Aberdeen. The procedure is cited as a routine developmental check and the first such infant printing in Aberdeen.
Norfolk reports a new offshore scene off Block Island as John Hughes Curtis and naval pilot Lieut George L Richard conduct secret negotiations with kidnap suspects. Curtis remains absent after last week’s reconnaissance trip and has not contacted associates or relatives.

The Wednesday Musicale offers a free concert at the Huron College chapel tonight starting at 8 15 p m. About 20 musicians perform vocal violin and piano selections in observance of National Music Week with a large expected turnout.

Of 27 responding, 10 would go to Huron College, with many aiming for varied careers from dietetics to city management. Students favored topics like contemporary civilization, chemistry, and English shaping future plans and valued outside activities. Many expressed desire to travel, pursue teaching, or enter journalism and administration roles.
A Council Bluffs man, 32, was arrested after an officer described a bulge under his clothing as a form fitting device. The incident involved an undercover approach and a single drink to satisfy a customer demand, with the officer noting the unusual attire as evidence.
Sioux Falls May 11 A grand jury investigation into the $200 holdup of Public Finance offices on April 22 loomed as three youths held for the crime balked at circuit court arraignment and called for an attorney. Eddie Majewski John Newman Jr and Andy Dako remained jailed on $3000 bonds. Requisition papers seeking Marie Kosch held in Milwaukee were forwarded. LaFollette of Wisconsin.
Clarence Rupert, victim of the first golfing accident at Mitchell municipal golf course, remains in critical but improving condition after being struck by a driven ball on the fourth hole. He was with Lesnard Losswold of Mitchell when the incident occurred Sunday.
West Virginia returns show Franklin D Roosevelt maintaining an overwhelming lead with 18 016 votes to 1 for Oklahoma Governor William H Murray as 2324 precincts report and mountainous areas lag in tabulation. Republican race sees T C Townsend ahead of Monte White while Democrat hopeful Judge A G Kump leads Hodges by about 2000 with 7107 to 5200 from 282 precincts.
M L Wilson head of agricultural economics at Montana State College Bozeman arrived in Mitchell to chair a statewide meeting of bankers businessmen editors and officials on the domestic allotment plan to make the tariff effective on farm products. The meeting will be held at seven tonight with Governor Green among the invitees.
Earl A. Hopkins of Pierre appeared as a witness in the preliminary hearing for Frank Long former Butte tax collector charged with embezzling more than two dollars of county tax money. The case may be ready for the May term of circuit court opening May 16.

Webster May 1 The weekly continuance was granted Tuesday in six civil cases brought by Brown County against H Pickus and M Skalovsky and via partners under H Pickus Construction and Paul S Egbert. The county seeks about 15.60 for alleged shortages in bridge work. A motion for continuance is also expected in the state case against Louis Lockington on forgery charges.
William Moore, a Black man, was sentenced to 9 ten days in jail by Municipal Judge Dick Haney after pleading guilty to fighting and disorderly conduct. The sentence was suspended when Moore agreed to pay for a window he had pushed his wife through.
