Faulkton resident Martin Monty pleaded guilty to reckless driving in justice court. He received a $50 fine and a 30 day suspended jail sentence. The incident involved a collision that injured Jerry Hertan a Faulkton boy with a broken leg and severe scratches and bruises.
Albert BE Vagt, longtime president of the Buffalo fishing club, died at 77 after a fishing incident on the Niagara River. Friends recall his devotion to the sport and his leadership in the local fishing community.
