Fatal crash near Brackenridge claims farmer’s life
Arthur Grimsrud 24 and sister Iftara 22 of Tillhead South Dakota were taken into custody after a collision near Brackenridge Iowa. Henry Stelling 70 a farmer died from skull injuries after Grimsrud’s car struck him while he and his sister say they were en route to Fargo to fetch another sister. Grimsrud was returned to Breckenridge for investigation. charges against him are expected. Stelling is survived by his widow and son August.

Huron Musicians Seek State Honors After District Win
Huron high school students depart for Vermillion to compete in state music contests after winning the district event in Brookings last week. Soloists John Spieker and Eugene Kingdon travel early, followed by the boys glee club of about twenty voices led by Miss Ida Iverson and Principal C. D. Dunbar. The group uses one US and one car for transport to join hundreds of contestants on the university campus. The glee club competes Friday morning as roughly 900 musicians gather for statewide contests.

Aberdiden May 9 Jack Decker and Harold Dutch Lamma pleaded guilty in municipal court to transporting intoxicating liquor. Each was fined 250 dollars and their automobile was confiscated. They were apprehended near Wylie Park after a chase. Decker fled, Lamma was captured at the wreck scene.

Edward Barnes, a 1921 Huron High School graduate and rapid rise electrical engineer, has been appointed by the Chicago and North Western railroad to manage electric power contracts across the system.
