Modern School Replaces Pioneer Structure In Spring Lake
OLDHAM May 7 Special The new Spring Lake Township school marks progress in a 14 year plan to modernize the district. The WPA aided building joins two more under construction to bring ten divisions to modern facilities with basements toilets furnaces and ample water. The old pioneer building from 1844 by R S Daddy Gleason will be auctioned. Emil Loriks former state Farmers Union president attended early classes there. The present school board led by Oscar Jansen Osce Sen and Cecil Kappell financed the program with yearly levies and state support.
