Rev Sander Tollefson pastor of Bethel Lutheran Church in Chicago will lead Sunday morning services at 10 45 o clock. A fellowship gathering will follow to meet him and his wife who accompanies him on their trip to Huron. Tollefson previously served eight years at Bethlehem Lutheran Church Aberdent then moved to Chicago where he has served about 12 years.
Five entrants including a craft from Malta Montana will start May 23 in a Missouri River cruisers race from St. Louis to Fort Benton to mark the end of inland river shipping era. The 2400 mile course runs upstream via the Mississippi and Missouri with daily 100 to 150 mile legs for cash prizes over about three weeks. Fort Benton leads the field with Glasgow Great Falls Motte and Pierre following in order.
