City Dispensary Bond Vote Narrowly Fails
Voters in Huron rejected a $125,000 bonds plan for a municipal auditorium and an adjacent liquor store proposal by roughly two to one. The auditorum bond, about $227,000 total cost, drew 54 percent in favor but fell 225 votes short of the required 60 percent. The liquor store measure lost 2 to 1 as precinct tallies came from about half of the city.
