Senator Simons Dies Suddenly in Belle Fourche

State Senator L. M. Simons, 66, longtime lawmaker from Butte and Harding counties, died of a heart attack after strokes today in Belle Fourche. A conservative Republican, he had filed for re nomination for the May 7 primary and had served as secretary of the state Senate, Belle Fourche city attorney, and long-time attorney for the Chicago and North Western railway. Survived by his wife and two daughters. funeral arrangements pending.

Funeral services for Mrs. O S Johnson 72 of Iroquois will be held Friday at 2 30 PM at the Methodist Church. Rev A R Regan will preach and burial will be in Iroquois cemetery. Mrs Johnson died Tuesday night after several weeks illness returning last week from Early Iowa where she visited relatives.
