Ely McAtee aged 85 died this morning at the county farm after a brief illness. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2 pm at Walsh chapel with Rev. F. E. Lochridge officiating. Burial will follow in Riverside cemetery. He is survived by three brothers Nick and Fred of Longdon Kansas and Leonard of Silva Kansas and four sisters Mrs. Mary Bruch Kingman Kansas Mrs. Lennie LeCrease of Oklahoma Mrs. Lizzie Karnes of Saskatchewan Canada and Mrs. Hila Lowery of De Smet. Born October 5 1869 near Princeton Maine he had lived near Huron for 23 years.

City negotiates with railway over water rights at dam site
City Attorney John P. Sauer was authorized by the city commission to negotiate with the Chicago and Northwestern railway over water rights tied to the dam on the James River at east Third Street. Pair Sentenced For Wolsey School Robbery
