Few Corrective Steps Needed, Huron Inquiry Finds
A city investigation by a three member committee and a full commission panel in Huron South Dakota concluded that no broad corruption exists and the city has been well governed since May 1935. The report faults the preliminary committee for spreading slander and notes one water department employee breach of duty. The mayor and several commissioners did not sign the committee’s report and a minority statement is anticipated. President Roosevelt, ill with a head cold, remains at the White House.
