Rug Making Demonstration in Doland March 15

Spink County women may learn rug making from Kathryn Webster of Brookings at the Doland schoolhouse sciences room on March 15. Demonstration times are 1:30 to 12:00 noon and 2:45 to 3:90 p.m. Participants should bring knitting, weaving scraps, sewing tools, and crochet items. Dr Harri Sor Estell Howe of Washington D C, an outstanding chemical engineer, was secured to address the 1989 School of Mines graduating class on June 1. Dr Joseph P Cahannanolly, president of the state engineering institution, announced. Velma Linnell spoke at the Kiwanis luncheon in Kingston Springs on March 9, urging emphasis on school curriculum and vocational guidance courses.

Sheriff Sells Seeks To Collect From Minnehaha County

Former sheriff Melvin L. Sells filed a mandamus action in circuit court to collect a $4170 judgment from Minnehaha County. The state supreme court had dismissed the county's appeal from judgment. Hearing set for March 16 before Judge L. L. Ploever. dispute began in September 1936.
