European Capitals Uneasy With Coup Of Danzig Believed Near

The article recounts the capture and death of Ray Olson, a fugitive killer fleeing a two deputy sheriff murder case. Olson was cornered by possemen led by Constable Ernest Moore at the Anderson farm near Cable Wisconsin on Lake Namakagon. Wet Weather Hits Grasshoppers in Huron Area

Federal meteorologist B R Laskowski said recent wet cool weather is harming grasshoppers in Huron. Farmers visiting the state weather bureau reported grasshoppers with heavy fungus under their wings, a death-causing condition, while most damage appears along field edges.

Injuries Fatal To Farm Child Near Highmore

Fatally injured two year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Orville Olson on a farm twenty miles north of Highmore died in Highmore after an accident in the barnyard. He was found in mud bleeding from head and body injuries likely from a horse. Death occurred about 1 p m at Emil Olson home. Funeral plans not yet set.

Baby Abandoned In Car Near Sioux Falls Hospital

A three day old girl was found abandoned in a car near McKennan hospital in Sioux Falls. Doctors described her as nearly perfect, weighing about seven pounds. No identity clues were found for the infant, who wore a too large sleep garment and a flour sack band. The umbilical cord was tied with grocery string. The baby was in a marketing sack inside J A Bradley’s car, a patient at the hospital, discovered by Mrs Bradley when she retrieved the car.

Insane Inmate Hunted After Car Left in Selby

Authorities nationwide searched for an escaped Washington asylum inmate described as Fred J. Phillips Jr. after he abandoned a stolen car in Selby South Dakota on Tuesday afternoon. The suspect, 27 to 30, six feet tall with a dark complexion, had escaped June 12 and traveled with a man and woman unknown to Selby officials.
