House Approves 151 Million Farm Board Funding
Washington June 17 The House passed a bill to appropriate 151,500,000 of the 500,000,000 authorized for the federal farm board under the farm relief act. The money would be the initial outlay of the new appropriation, and Wood of the appropriations committee prepared a bill for early action. Hoover urged rapid initiation of the farm plan as Congress considers the debenture idea in the tariff bill.

Rotary Club Helps Build Scout Cabin at Camp DaKosTah
Rotarians from Huron aided in erecting a bunk cabin at Camp DaKosTah for the Boy Scouts. Materials were donated by the luncheon club, with one Rotarian supplying materials at cost and another providing a truck. The cabin will sleep eight boys in four double bunk beds, and the Miller troop had previously donated the cabin, formerly located in Miller wrist park, now being re fitted for use at the camp. The pool depth is about four feet under the diving board and will reach seven and a half feet when full.

Seven Die As Channel Plane Crashes Off Folkestone
Imperial Airways reported seven passengers died when a City of Pretoria trans channel plane crashed near Folkestone.
