Doland June 11 A group of local enthusiasts plans a sporty nine hole golf course in Poland with Doland high school coach Ray White as a leading promoter.
A Friday evening Labor Union meeting at 7:30 in Labor Temple New York plus a W. C. A. board session at 2. Rev. Waddell from Ohio will address the Eastern Star on The Traveling Bible. Various local social events include a Miss McElligott bridge party at 46 Dakota Ave South, Catalpa Circle gathering at 367 Illinois Ave, and a Billy Haley eighth birthday theater and home party at 433 Fourth St Southwest. Other notes cover early morning pool breakfast excursion, Rowena Circle plans, Presbyterians picnic at Fair Grounds, Mahaffey dinner and bridge, Past Oracles meeting, a Helen Fugisang lawn birthday party, Soci club gathering at 905 Tani St Southwest, and a bridge game at Mrs. Fenske's home with next meeting at Mrs Olson’s.

Mrs Anna Hunt and daughter Maxine depart for Chicago with plans for a seven week visit returning to Huron. Henry Gibson of Huron College heads to Holton Kansas to visit his parents. Mr and Mrs George and the Kleinschmidts visit Schulze in Dakota Ave south. John Wharton of Huron College leaves for Oberlin summer school. Mrs Frank Staley hosts Rev Dan J Rued and family en route to Watertown state Sunday school convention. Mrs Choate Johns of Chicago visits Schuyler family until June end. Scott Taylor and Roger head to Los Angeles while Edna Starr goes from Brookings to join friends for summer.
