Vermillion Opens New University Pools for Summer

Vermillion news reports two new swimming facilities at the University of South Dakota for the summer session. A 25 by 75 foot indoor pool with depths from four to nine feet will be available to students and staff. Activities in South Dakota part of a nation wide movement for school libraries are noted by Helen Se Farr of Columbia University in the School Library Yearbook No 3 published by the American Library Association. The South Dakota Library Association section is praised for Young Citizens League support and rural school libraries project. About 50 000 books were purchased and school libraries in South Dakota and other states are expanding access for children.
