Pierre, June 2. J W Cluett resigned as director of the Game and Fish Department citing political pressure from Gov Harlan J Bushfield and Attorney General Leo A Temmey. He accused officials of trying to push nonpolitical sportsmen affairs into politics, and alleged mismanagement and favoritism within the commission. He claimed Temmey and Pattee sought to appoint an assistant AG to handle legal work and questioned the hiring of an unqualified engineer.

C L Bailey, manager of the state offices for Standard Oil in Huron S D, will retire July 1 after sixteen years in the sales division of Standard Oil Company of Indiana. He is to be succeeded by A H Worrall, formerly manager in Saginaw Michigan and ex-manager at Fargo North Dakota. Bailey joined the company in 1906 as an agent at Hartford South Carolina in the former Sioux City Iowa division and later served as agent at Howard and Hawarden before becoming a salesman for the northern Black.
