Meeting Of Coal Mine Commission To Be Held

Pierre June 1 A meeting of the South Dakota coal mine commission will be held either at Lemmon or at the state's mining property in Adams county North Dakota tomorrow. Governor Tom Berry announced today. The governor planned to drive to Lemmon late today. The governor and George Puder and Louis Lidstrom both of Timber Lake compose the commission.

Hit Run Driver Still At Large In Huron

Gladys and Edith Kucera two Huron High School students were struck while walking near the paver west of Huron Tuesday night. Gladys suffered a broken collarbone and other bruises and was to be dismissed from a local hospital today. Edith was not seriously hurt. Sheriff officers reported several cars resembling the one involved had been inspected without leads. The car is described as a Model T Ford coupe or a small coupe with two men aboard. The girls live in Huron and were en route to their parents’ home four miles west of town.
