Hundreds visit the hills town for a parade with floats Indians miners and rodeo acts. Farmer Killed In Threshing Mishap Near Tabor
Eran Kortan a 60 year old farmer living near Tabor was killed last night when he was pulled into the hand knives of a threshing machine. Authorities said he had partly climbed inside the grain bundle opening to adjust a part of the machinery. Kortan died at Sacred Heart hospital less than two hours after the accident. He is survived by five sons. Funeral services will be held at Tabor tomorrow morning.

Boy Testimony Ties Father to Chains in Home
In Philadelphia on July 27 an eight year old testified he was kept chained in his home for three days with a dog collar. Stanley Wammeraki is held on $1,008 bail for aggravated assault and battery. Bicycle theft ring broken up at Sioux Falls

Shooting Victim Improves at Hot Springs Hospital

A legion resolution backs aiding the veterans bureau to remove unfair advantage in benefits. It urges proportionate cuts when federal workers draw dual salaries and disability pay.
