Robert Emmet Dowdell of Forestburg calls progressives to convene in Huron on July 31 and August 1 to nominate a tax payer backed non political ticket. The aim is to oppose what he calls a machine dominated super government, push farm relief, remove funds from politics, and block further direct taxes until farm to market roads are solved. WESSINGTON SPRINGS July 23 Special Jerauld county saw more rain last evening with the southern part receiving the heaviest total exceeding a half inch in the district south of Wessington Springs.
