Hot Springs prepares a two day carnival with Miss Black Hills and Miss America beauty contests drawing Nebraskan and Wyoming entries along with Pine Ridge Rosebud Sioux contestants. Woonsocket prepares a three day water carnival July 18-20 featuring boxing swimming diving and baseball. Friday afternoon and Saturday host Wessington Springs and Alpena baseball, Sioux City Stock Yards Cowboys and Wichita Colored Collegians play at 2:30.
