Gains Noted In Swine Market At Armour Stock Yards

Hog prices topped 4.95 with a 15 cent gain as receipts reached 600 head. Cattle and calves were largely steady with scarce stockers and feeders, total salable cattle 1,200 and calves 25. Active hog demand lifted prices 13 to 20 cents, with shipper top at 5.30 on 195 lb weights. Sheep salable 2,500 with fat lambs weak. wool products and hides held firm around 9.25.
