Germany Buys Better Feeling In Turkey With $60,000,000 Loan
The January 19 Berlin signing of a German Turkish credit agreement grants Turkey 60 million dollars boosting Nazi aims in Eastern Europe and the Balkans. Walther Funk pushed the deal after a prior 120 million offer was declined by Ankara, as Britain had loaned Turkey 72 million and Ataturk’s legacy leaned toward England. He says scrap methods fail for people, urges reusing machines to support workers, and calls for a reassessment of the economic system to spread benefits from automation rather than concentrate wealth.
