Girl Scouts Work On Second Class At St Teresa's
Tekawitha Troop 8 of the Girl Scouts met at St Teresa's School on Monday. Patrols worked on second class requirements with Blue Jays on International Friendships Pussywillows on Community Service and Safety Beavers on Sports and Games. The patrols then practiced the Virginia Reel for dance and the meeting closed with Taps.

Skating Party At Whiteside School On Friday
Students at Whiteside School held a skating party at Leo Matthews pond from noon to 1 30 PM on Friday January 13. They formed three groups by skating ability and some bruises were noted. The day also featured a Y C S meeting to appoint an organizer for ping pong, checker and horseshoe tournaments with Bobby Dates naming Eldon DeShazer as chairman and referee. In seventh grade geography pupils studied rivers of continents then peninsulas and deserts, while arithmetic covers compound interest.
