Hogs to be killed at Huron plant in 1929
Armour packing plant general manager Harry Wilkinson estimates about 609000 hogs will be killed in Huron during 1929, about the same as last year. Eighteen thousand cattle will also be killed locally, with corn shortages cited as a reason for hog numbers remaining steady despite lower sow breeding. The plant is expected to draw from a wider territory in 1929.
