Pierre, Feb 28. South Dakota Board of Railroad Commissioners denies petitions by railroad companies seeking reopening of petroleum rate cases. They note substantial reductions achieved in Middle Continent petroleum rates and from Montana refineries. Reduced rates effective June 14, 1928 will stand. Also announces reading-in- transit rate cut for sheep between Rapid City and Ft Pierre per C N W arrangements effective April 1, with through rate from Wyoming origin and a 12 cent per hundredweight in-transit charge.
