Yosemite Auto Tunnel to Open Linking Valley and Giants
A 4320 foot bore through a granite cliff will form part of a 30 mile all weather highway from Yosemite valley to Mariposa grove. Meeting to plan new bank at Platte
A town meeting in the Platte school auditorium formed a committee of citizens to pursue a bank charter for Platte. N J Thomson of Presho was invited to seek the charter as the best proposition. Co ed students at the University of South Dakota join the soda fountain staff in the new Union building cooperative store. Six home economics majors wear white Hoover aprons trimmed in red and serve breakfasts lunches and dinners while gaining practical experience in serving meal planning ordering and cost recording.
