Veterans Given Christmas Cheer at Battle Mountain Sanitarium
Christmas program at Battle Mountain Sanitarium in Hot Springs provided gifts to 700 World War veterans. Each man received a Christmas greeting a new razor blade a book of stamps two packs of cigarettes a deck of cards and candy and nuts. World War nurses received cards dollar bills and flowers. Messages from President Hoover National Commander Johnson and Veterans Bureau Director Hines were read. The event was organized by state American Legion auxiliary leaders with Mrs Henrietta Paulson at summit presiding. Similar activities were held the night before at the state soldiers home.

Man Returns After Three Year Absence
PORTSMOUTH. George S. Law 68 former owner of a group of theatres here made Christmas the happiest his family has had for three years. Law returned home last night from Lady Lake after being missing since Oct 29 1029. No trace of him had been found but rivers and streams around Portsmouth were searched for his body. A letter from Lady Lake hospital several days ago said a man giving the name George Law was there.
