South Dakota schools receive 1.513 million apportionment
South Dakota public schools will get 1,513,257.13 from the state for the year ending September 30, 1929. Commissioner O. P. Engstrom notes the amount is about 33,000 less than last year due to a larger pupil count and weaker crop yields. The money is the December interest and income fund from the permanent school fund and oil and coal lease proceeds, distributed to counties by student age, with measured allocations listed per county.
