Milbank December 18. After closing arguments the Saunders case becomes a jury issue. Mrs Jennie Saunders widow of Phil Saunders sues Farmers and Merchants National Bank its officers and directors and the Edgar Kelley estate executor for about 38000 alleging fraud in transfer of her personal property. The suit contends she was induced to trade good securities for bank stock and related holdings while the Milbank Bank and its affiliates faced defense denying any fraud in the Saunders estate handling.
Major Tadea Larre Borges and Lieutenant Leon Challe aimed to reach Montevideo from Seville after crash near Natal Brazil. They survived a 3800 mile Atlantic crossing in a Breguet plane and awaited another aircraft to resume with stops at Natal and Rio Janeiro before Montevideo. Challe was lightly injured and hospitalized, while Larre Borges was fatigued from the ordeal.
