Final examinations for fall quarter at SDSC begin Wednesday

Final examinations for the fall quarter at South Dakota State College will start Wednesday morning, announced by Dean H B Mathews. Class work ends with the start of exams and students prepare for the term's close.

State college nursery school serves Brookings children

Ninety children ages 48 months to five years attend the State college nursery school in Brookings, the only program of its kind across four states. The 19 members shown today study health, play, and crafts, with a noon lunch and a rest. The program, started to aid home economics training, uses a practice cottage since 1920 and now includes field experience with many students caring for children.

BROOKINGS Dec 16 Special South Dakota cattle feeding methods attract foreign attention. T M Qison head of the State college dairy department disclosed several requests for a bulletin on Feeding the Dairy Herd for Profit received by Mr Olson from abroad. The latest came from Egil Holmho Aladrid Spain with others from South America and Porto Rico.

Miss Gethman Fills Vacancy At Yankton

Mitchell Dec 16 Miss Helen Gethman of Eidora Indiana is the new freshman English instructor for the winter quarter at Dakarta Wesleyan University. She will fill the position left vacant by Mrs Van Kirk whose illness delays teaching until spring. Gethman is a graduate of Ohio Wesleyan University with AB and A degrees and has taught high school English in Hubbard Indiana. She has held an instructorship in English for two years at her own college and has recently been working on doctorate work at Ohio Wesleyan.

1930 Licenses Due Soon Urges Title Clean-Up

County Treasurer H. Vance warns 1930 license plates may not arrive before January 1 and urges second hand car buyers to fix titles promptly. State laws require titles in the owner's name before plates are issued. With January handling 400,000 license applications, delays from incorrect titles are likely.
