U S Relief Loan Plan detailed for drought areas

The Agriculture Secretary Hyde announced regulations for loans to buy feed for cattle horses and sheep in drought zones across Montana North Dakota South Dakota Wyoming Utah Idaho Washington Nebraska and parts of other states. Loans up to 3 per head monthly for cattle horses and 1 per month for sheep with up to 6 months feeding and 1000 per borrower. Notes due October 7 1932 and a parity lien with prior mortgages.

Oil well drilling near WALL to switch casing depth

Drillers from Gypsy Oil Company near WALL at 4 487 feet plan to change from 17 inch to 16 inch casing as they drill through a soft red formation. Once they reach a harder stratum the new casing size will be installed, officials report.

Farm Hand Dies After Car Crash Near Ashton

A 65 year old farm hand from near Ashton died in a hospital after a Sunday morning collision on a highway near Ashton. Gene Stevens of Carroll was absolved of blame by State's Attorney A F Schleher after witnesses said Carl entered the main road from a side street and lost control. Stevens and others were not seriously hurt. Carl had been working at Norwood farm west of Ashton.
