Attorney killer ends life in county jail explosion
An Amarillo attorney linked to his wife's murder and a deadly dynamite bombing died in his jail cell when a bottle of nitroglycerin exploded. Amputation Futile In Effort To Save Mrs Shaw
In a Tuesday collision near Tyndall South Dakota Mrs Hazel Shaw of Wessington died at 2 30 am in a Tyndall hospital after doctors amputated her right arm in a bid to save her life. The car carrying Mrs Shaw and two Huron women Miss Dorothy Fuglsang and Mrs Mable Moore collided with a Platte truck loaded with groceries three miles east of Tyndall. Fuglsang suffered a badly cut nose and eye, Moore a deep leg gash and other injuries. both were discharged. Mrs Shaw is survived by husband Floyd Shaw a two year old son and her parents and six sisters and six brothers of Wessington. Larry Forman Platte driver of the truck faces a hearing on September 9. The truck caught fire and burned with its cargo after overturning.
