EXPECT INCREASE LAMB SHIPMENTS
Brookings reports that shipments of sheep and lambs from South Dakota in the last four months of 1929 are likely to rise about 23 percent from the previous year, with total marketings in the three western states higher than 1927. The 1929 lamb crop is slightly larger than 1928, and breeders will hold more ewe lambs for breeding, while local demand for ewes and ewe lambs remains weak.
