Seed mosaic decorates Beadle County Building at State Fair

Superintendent John O Kane and his wife craft seven seed panels from 52 varieties for the Beadle County Building at the Haron State Fair. The art uses flax up to soybeans to form life like scenes drawn from children's books, sealed under lacquer to resist rain, with two seed eagles and 2000 bundles of grain. O Kane notes the project drew on seeds gathered across Beadle County and faced grasshopper challenges, aiming to attract visitors and boost entries beyond last year's 835.
