Mona Townsend's South American voyage and romance plot
Mona Townsend plans a long sail to South America with her companion Lottie to secure her late husband’s fortune. Mona, married to Barry Townsend in name only, loves his nephew and faces obstacles while her secretary Louie assists. Barry camps in a diamond venture with Steve Saccarelli, and Mona’s brother Bud works for them. The setup centers on inheritance, love, secrecy, and a risky journey as the trio prepares for departure aboard the Miranda.
