Blowout Blamed For Car Crash Near Lake Preston
HM Herschman an Omaha garage man told Huron today that a front tire blowout caused a crash near Lake Preston on Monday afternoon. He credits an unidentified hitch hiker who helped him from the car before it burst into flames. Herschman, unconscious briefly, suffered cuts but was dressed at a Huron hospital. the Detroit young man riding with him, not seriously injured, provided details before vanishing. The Detroit man, en route to Mason South Dakota, claimed a promised job there. The car rolled onto its side after the tire blew as it rounded a corner west of Lake Preston around 1 p m.
