Children Aged Denied Benefits In South Dakota
South Dakota cannot implement federal changes to old age assistance and aid to dependent children without state legislative funding. The 1940 federal increases to monthly benefits and dollar-for-dollar matching require money from the state, which prior actions have not provided. Legislative appropriations are needed before any operation can begin.
