State Agriculture Department Reports Fiscal Year Results

Pierre August 1 The state department of agriculture reports increased receipts and lower expenses for the year ending June 30. Secretary Frank D Kriebs notes net receipts of 5 095 41 for 1928 29 with $1 701 more reverting to the general fund than in 1927 28. Net receipts over expenditures rose from 94 741 01 in 1927 28 to 100 736 42 in 1928 29.

Ireland Sues To Recover Red Canyon Oil Well

Roland Ireland of Lincoln Nebraska, original owner of the Red Canyon oil well, sues the Cleveland Stoneegg Company owning the land in circuit court seeking recovery of the well. The well, drilled by Harry Hollingsworth for Myre Ireland, was leased land. a January blast during casing removal brought the well to surface and ownership changes followed.
