Ward, a Drake University graduate, studied voice and harmony at California and taught at Culver Military Academy. Since joining Hur on College he directed several productions including Firefly this year.

Date set for Rural Life Sunday April 28 observed jointly by the Extension Service and national church bodies. 4-H clubs in many communities will assist with ushers, church decor, group attendance, wearing 4-H uniforms, singing, and other program roles. Demonstration on Cream Cheese Making Planned in Miller
Farm women will learn to make cream cheese at a demonstration in the Miller Auditorium on Thursday April 14 directed by Clarence Shanley district supervisor of extension service Brookings. Each extension club chairman in the county will have her club represented. A similar meeting will be held at Rockham for Hand and Faulh counties unable to attend.
To Build Garages For Mechanized Army Unit
Major construction began at Fort Meade to house mechanized Fourth United States Cavalry units returning from maneuvers. Five garages, 204 by 46 feet, will be built and completed by July 1 under Major John Vincent. Also reports a two year prison sentence for J F Sankey on embezzlement counts and a local concert with the consolidated school chorus and band under Ethel Parrett and George Corrin.
