Favorable Week for South Dakota Farmers Amid Rain and Warmth
The week ending April 13 brought mild days from 60 to 73 degrees and ample rainfall across the state. Weather forecaster B R Laskowski reported steadily improving soil moisture, greened grasses, and generally fair to good winter crop conditions with plowing and seeding advancing except in the far north. Some lowlands remain flooded but receding streams and early seeding near completion support a favorable agricultural outlook.
