South Dakota Diet for Chicago Fair Costs Slashed
In 1893 South Dakota raised over 23000 for a Chicago World’s Fair exhibit to attract immigrants and industrial growth, funded by private subscription. Now in 1933 the goal mirrors the past with a 25000 budget and three cent per person cost, while emphasizing Rural Credits and county lands to aid a growing commonwealth. A second item notes YW Hart hosted a party with about 20 guests, auction bridge winners, and light refreshments.
