The opinion says such organizations face inspection and licensing like individuals, unless lodge rooms are used only for ordinary purposes and entertainments are for members, in which case they are not subject to inspection or license payment.
Pierre April 11 The attorney general’s office told the South Dakota department of public instruction that school boards cannot pay tuition or transportation for children attending parochial schools. Such appropriating and paying from district funds is forbidden by the constitution and state laws.
